New legislation provides an ideal opportunity for resellers to accelerate their headset sales into top gear – following tougher mobile phones laws whilst driving.
Distributor Nimans has already witnessed a 15% spike in demand for Bluetooth enabled devices since the clampdown came into force at the beginning of March – where drivers face six penalty points and a £200 fine.
Motorists who receive six penalty points within two years of passing their test already face having their licence revoked, meaning new drivers caught using a mobile would revert to a provisional licence.
