Nimans Engineers SIP Success

Posted on January 14, 2014

Nimans has ‘engineered’ a flying start to its new SIP trunk service – hosting a successful training seminar to help resellers understand the technical side of implementing the connectivity protocol.

Attendees learned about the way SIP works with different system brands - during separate sessions which focussed on specific engineering requirements, during the day-long Manchester event.

Nimans has launched its own SIP trunk service to provide resellers with ‘more control’ and access to a complete range of network-based products and expertise.

Dedicated sales and engineering training courses will run throughout 2014. The Nimans SIP service has been fully tested for Panasonic, Samsung, NEC, Aastra and iQ PBX systems, with more to follow. A dedicated SIP connectivity guide has also been produced.

The Nimans proposition gives resellers a strong and proven platform to capture a bigger share of the growing SIP market - based on high calibre training and accreditation - ensuring they ‘get it right’.

“The whole sales process has shifted. Resellers need to understand what the client wants, put a solution together and deliver it to them. If you do these three things then you are going to be successful,” says Mark Curtis-Wood, Head of Network Services at Nimans. “There’s a right way of doing SIP and a wrong way. We recognise training for deployment is crucial which is why we are placing great importance on providing high calibre learning sessions to provide resellers with the confidence and knowledge to move forward from both sales and engineering perspectives.”
