Nimans Opens Its Doors To A New World Of Learning
Distributor Nimans is throwing open its doors to allow customers to take advantage of its extensive in-house staff training courses for the first time.
For the last decade, Training and Development Manager, Matt Booth has been hosting a wide range of bespoke learning sessions specifically about the telecoms industry for members of the workforce. Now in response to a number of requests, Nimans is inviting customers the opportunity to share in the same knowledge and industry expertise.
Courses will generally last for half a day at an average cost of £200. Topics cover four areas of: sales, soft skills, management and product knowledge - from an Introduction To Sales through to Advanced Account Management.
The in-depth sessions have been specifically developed to be speedy and punchy, ensuring minimum time away from the office, said Matt. “This initiative is another example of our 100% reseller focused operation as we introduce a further valuable customer service. We expect interest to be high.”
Based at Nimans’ Manchester headquarters, the courses complement a vast array of existing learning programmes, workshops and roadshows often run in conjunction with key suppliers.
Matt is a fully qualified training manager, holding the industry’s CIPD and ILM qualifications, as part of a 15-year career. He emphasised: “Staff development is vital for the success of any business. Training is hugely important particularly at the moment when we are trying to stay out of recession. It’s about getting the maximum from your staff. Some companies have been forced to cut back on their workforces so they need to get the most out of the people left, particularly in the technology sector where there are always new developments and a thirst for knowledge.
