Group Sales Director
Richard Carter returned to the Group in 2010 as Business Development Director to re-commence his working relationship with Chairman and MD Julian Niman after a five-year absence.
Richard originally cut his teeth in telecoms distribution as part of a 20-year career with Nimans, but moved to Rocom in 2005 as New Business Development Director. He later became Managing Director but left his post following the acquisition of Wetherby-based Rocom by Nimans in 2009.
“I am very excited by the great potential this new challenge brings,” said Richard. “The lure of helping drive forward the two biggest names in telecoms distribution proved too irresistible to ignore.”
Upon his re-appointment, Richard continued: “The telecoms industry is in my blood and it’s great to be back. My car almost drove itself to the office on the first day. Both companies represent a combined career investment of 25 years for me and I want to build on what’s been achieved so far. It’s been great to see some familiar faces and I’m really looking forward to the challenge."
