SoGEA migrations available in FTTP priority exchanges for a limited time only

Openreach has introduced a temporary migration window allowing Communications Providers to bulk-migrate WLR-based services in FTTP Priority Exchanges to SoGEA, ahead of the national WLR withdrawal in January 2027.

FTTP Priority Exchanges are an Openreach exchange area where Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) coverage is high enough for Openreach to prioritise full-fibre services only. Therefore, standard migration routes to SoGEA are restricted, unless specific evidence requirements were met. These restrictions have been lifted temporarily.

What does this mean?

Nimans Connect can now offer SoGEA where FTTP was the only option available until now. We can bulk migrate copper / WLR services on behalf of resellers, but only until October 2026. Get in touch with the team to discuss your options and start the process connectsales@nimans.net
