Nimans introduce life-saving initiative
16 September 2024
Nimans has taken a proactive step to ensure the safety of its employees by installing defibrillators throughout its facilities. This initiative, spearheaded by Gary Redshaw, a seasoned member of the Nimans team, aims to equip employees with the tools and training necessary to respond to Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) emergencies.
“At Nimans, we prioritize the well-being of our employees,” said Gary Redshaw. “By installing defibrillators and providing CPR training, we are empowering our team to potentially save lives.”
SCA is a serious medical condition that can be fatal if not treated promptly. Defibrillators are essential tools for restoring normal heart rhythms during a cardiac arrest. By having defibrillators readily available and training employees on their proper use, Nimans is creating a safer working environment for all.
Nimans has partnered with Defibshop to provide high-quality defibrillators for its facilities. Additionally, the company has conducted comprehensive CPR training sessions for nominated employees, ensuring they are prepared to respond to emergencies effectively.
“We believe that investing in the safety of our employees is not only a moral obligation but also a sound business decision,” said Paul Burn, Nimans Managing Director. “By taking proactive measures to address potential health risks, we are fostering a positive and supportive work culture.”
Nimans' commitment to workplace safety extends beyond its own facilities. The company has also informed neighbouring businesses and the community about the availability of defibrillators on its premises, making them a valuable resource for the entire area.
